Composition of the Academic Council

The work plans of the Academic Council are prepared by the Academic Secretary, taking into account the proposals of scientists.

Issues included in the agenda:

• - consideration and approval of prospective scientific and thematic plans, annual scientific and thematic and calendar plans, work programs of scientific units;

• - hearing and approval of semi-annual, annual and full information reports of scientific units;

• - consideration of the results of the commission's verification of the implementation of the tasks of thematic plans and work programs of scientific and research work by the departments and laboratories of the institute;

• - consideration of issues of cooperation of the institution with other scientific institutions, development of international scientific cooperation;

• - consideration of certification files of scientists for the purpose of assigning them the academic title of senior research associate, professor.

• - consideration and approval of doctoral dissertation topics and scientific consultants;

• - approval of educational and scientific programs for training specialists of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education;

• - consideration of the work of the admissions committee on the conducted entrance exams to postgraduate studies;

• - consideration and approval of topics of candidate theses, scientific supervisors, individual work plans of postgraduate students and applicants;

• - consideration of candidacies of young scientists for participation in the competition for a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;

• - review of monographs, articles, and recommendations submitted for publication;

• - consideration of programs drawn up for the development of the agricultural, crop and livestock sectors of the region;

• - consideration and approval of the structure of the institute;

• - consideration of the prospects for the development of scientific units;

• - consideration of the prospects for the development of crop and livestock industries in the research farms of the institute;

• - consideration of the state of readiness of experimental farms for spring field work;

• - consideration of the state of readiness of experimental farms for autumn field work and fodder harvesting;

• - listening to reports from heads of research farms.

The Academic Council listened to and discussed the following scientific reports:

• - scientific justification for restoring the productivity of meadow agrolandscapes of the Carpathian region on an innovative basis in order to increase their resource potential, obtain environmentally safe products, and preserve biodiversity;

• - problems of degradation and restoration of fertility of agricultural lands in the Carpathian region;

• - prospects for organic farming in the Carpathian region;

• - a system of scientific and organizational support for the intensification of livestock farming;

• - feeding highly productive cows in modern conditions;

•  -program for the development of livestock farming in farms of the Lviv region for 2017-2020;

• - scientific foundations for increasing the productivity of forage lands in the Carpathian region under climate change;

• - strategy for the development of the dairy subcomplex of the Carpathian region;

• - formation of principles of improved systems of multi-rotation crop rotations for farms of different forms of ownership and specialization of production, which, provided that soil fertility is preserved and restored, will ensure increased land use efficiency;

• - a comprehensive approach to combining the use of macro- and microfertilizers and biological products in field crop rotations, which ensures high economic efficiency of chemicalization methods;

• - on the effectiveness of scientific research and the competitiveness of developments in the livestock industry;

• - development of modern soil cultivation systems using the latest soil cultivation and sowing units, which will significantly reduce the consumption of materials, energy, and time;

• - resource- and energy-saving technologies for growing cruciferous crops in the Carpathian region - the main principles of their competitiveness;

• - problems and directions of ensuring innovation-oriented growth of the functionality of rural areas of the Carpathian region;

• - on the state and prospects for the development of dairy cattle breeding in the Lviv region for the period until 2025;

• - about the main aspects of the formation and functioning of agricultural service cooperatives for the production of feed;

• - on the effectiveness of scientific research and the competitiveness of scientific developments in the field of seed production in the Carpathian region of Ukraine and the world;

• - on the status of the implementation of the project "Development of rural entrepreneurship and infrastructure of the agrotourism cluster "Gorbo Gory", the role of agricultural science and tasks for 2019-2020;

• - on scientific support for the development of highly productive dairy farming in the institute network for the period until 2025: status, problems, prospects;

• - on strategic directions of scientific research in agricultural science in the process of changing climatic conditions and measures to solve problems in the Carpathian region for the period until 2030.

The Academic Council is considering a number of issues that were previously discussed at meetings of methodological committees.

During the period 2021–2025, 64 meetings of the Academic Council were held.
